Torben Forsberg “Bid by the bug” til det grønlandske folk og deres natur.  Sikke en chance at få lov til som filmmager, sejler og eventyreren at ankomme til Nordøstgrønland med skonnerten “Activ” på historisk vis.
At filme stormens rasen i Danmarksstrædet. At mærke det første grundstød i havisen, når vi bevæger os igennem frosttågen og forventningens glæde ved at gense det hvide land dukke op af morgryet.
Det er en fotografisk drøm, der går i opfyldelse, på god gammeldags facon, focus planet svinger som et pendul, vi afsøger alt der blender sig med den sidste nye teknologi og menneskets nysgerrighed. Vi skal udforske former, farver, lyset, fortid, fremtid, under og over vandet.

Som en af de ganske få heldige, har jeg gennem flere film ekspeditioner været hele vejen rundt om Grønland, først 125 dage og 3000km på ski og hundeslæde på “Expedition Sirius 2000” med Kronprinsen rundt om nordgrønland og sidenhen 6000km på filmtogt med Flådens “Vædderen” i anledning af den danske flådes 500 års jubilæum.

and full-time member on the 125-day expedition, with participation of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. A 3000 km journey on skis and dog-sledges around the northern coast of Greenland following in the footsteps of past explorers under the most testing of conditions on the planet where temperatures fall below -47 degrees celsius.
Torben Forsberg received personally ”The order of Merit” from her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
